Jenn Berry has been practicing Pilates since 1992 and became a certified Pilates instructor in 2001 via The Pilates Center of Orange County. She has a Masters degree in dance science and was educated by Joseph Pilates' protégés Ron Fletcher and Diane Diefenderfer. Jenn invites you to train with her and her staff. Receive the health benefits of Pilates whether for specific training needs, injury recovery, or improvements in general health and flexibility.
We help you achieve your personal best by working towards your specific goals and needs. Your workout will emphasize proper alignment for injury prevention and target weaker areas to keep you well-balanced and strong. I have worked with some of the top athletes in the country including Olympians going for the gold, marathon runners increasing their speed, golfers perfecting their swing, and circus artists advancing their craft.
We chart a course for pain-free living and a better quality of life by working on joint stability, core stabilization, and bone density. Pilates is designed for this work; the machines are weight bearing with various tensions and they are non-impactive, so the workout can be as light or heavy as you need to build strength without stress. Through Pilates you will develop awareness of how your body works and how to move in a balanced, efficient way. We work with leading doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, and acupuncturists to develop methods for recovery.
It is easy to underestimate the physical demands of our routine activities. We will focus on posture to reverse the effects of sitting at a desk for long periods, stretching the chest to pull the shoulders back and lengthening the neck. By strengthening your core we can help reduce low back pain, and we can stretch the legs and hips to increase flexibility. Our clients have found their enhanced posture and body awareness has helped them immeasurably in building leadership skills and confidence, making them more effective in the workplace.
